Meet your Sub Camp Leader: Tim Haggett

“My name is Tim and I’m the Sub Camp leader for Space.

In my normal Scouting I’m a Deputy District Commissioner in Slough District and an Explorer Scout Leader. I have been involved in several large scouting events: I was a Deputy Sub Camp leader at WINGS 2009, a member of the International Service Team (IST), and was part of the Jamboree Delivery Team at the World Scout Jamboree in 2007.

I was Assistant Unit Leader for Berkshire Contingent Unit going to the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden. I also have a Jamboree Role for the Japan 2015 World Scout Jamboree as part of the UK Contingent Support Team.

In the real world, I work in IT Support at a chocolate factory!  I enjoy IT, reading, cycling, running and hiking.”

A little bit about Space

The theme of our Sub Camp is Space. We will be aiming to theme the Sub Camp on the discoveries made in space exploration, as well as looking at the lighter side of space with homages to cartoons and sci-fi.

As a team, we aim to create an atmosphere that you will never forget and to make the Space Sub Camp the place to be! The team is already planning exciting things for you to do and there is a definite buzz in the air.
