May has been a busy month for me and the team. Over the last few weeks we have been meeting with a numbers of people interested in joining the Delivery Team. So far we have filled most of the roles that were advertised a few weeks ago.

As you can imagine we are still looking for more Scouters and Guiders to join the team. Keep an eye on the website for more roles later this summer.

We have also progressed a good way down the road to finalising the Joint Arrangement between Berkshire Scouts and Girlguiding Royal Berkshire. This will be in place by late July and is a key milestone in our planning.

As I have mentioned planning, you might be interested to know that we had our first pass at creating the project plan for the next 2 years. I think it is fair to say that we were all surprise at just how much we need to get done so far ahead of the event. Obviously we have a fixed end date of 2nd August 2014, but there are already firm dates in the plan through 2013 and 2014.

Lastly, a look ahead to the next few months. Starting in June we are working up the budget for WINGS. This will enable us to set the fee by September and give people plenty of time to plan for attending WINGS 2014. We are also designing and producing publicity materials that we can give out at international camps, county events and make available on our website. You will also see the website change in the next couple of months as we develop our vision and theme for this WINGS.
